Primary information about PE (physical education = sport class) at CZU for foreign students
Foreign students have PE in the schedule of their study as compulsory and will follow the instructions for signing the PE into their schedule. The condition for obtaining the credit is attendence once a week of the chosen class during the whole semester.
Students can use the swimming pool during the time of open hours for students (these hours are announced at the beginning of the semester and listed at the sport center).
Students can use the outside sport facilities (small football field, tennis courts, volleyball and beachvolleyball courts, athletic track) for student prices after the registration at the reception of KTV (sport center) and students must follow the sport facility rules.
The offered sports for foreign students on Friday: football, volleyball, fitness, core training, morning compensation and swimming
Football:
Volleyball: Popular ball team sport. Game played by two teams of six players on a side. Classes are for beginners as well as for advanced players. First part of class focused on individual skills, second part for team play. During the game communication among the players and team spirit are required.Required equipped: clean extra shoes, sport clothes
Fitness:
Core training: Core training is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening and stabilizing the muscles of the trunk, including the abdominals, back, hips, and pelvis. These muscles are essential for maintaining good posture, balance, and movement quality, as well as preventing injuries and pain. After the initial warm-up and stretching, a summary of complex exercises follows. Required equipment: sport clothes, sport shoes, towel.
Morning compensation: Easy strength and conditioning training focused on strengthening the movement patterns, with the aim of increasing the level of motor skills and correcting muscle disbalances. The training is designed for beginners who want to improve their fitness and health = compensation of sedentary lifestyle. Standard course consist easy mobilization and activation based on yoga, in main part we practice 5 easy exercises in 3 three series and finally some stretching and compensation. Swimming: Swimming lessons are focused on basic freestyle techniques. The aim of a lesson is to learn proper body position, floating, and breathing. We will also try some basics of water safety. What do you need? Swimming costume, goggles, towel, soap, and sandals are optional but recommended.
The condition for obtaining credit („zápočet“) is the attendence of the PE lecture throughout the semester.
